My Approach
Living Arts Music has its focus on creative growth using quality material
taught with an understanding of musical-cognitive development. My mission is to help students build a strong foundation and develop a lifelong joy of music.
Building on each achievement and taking an adaptable approach respects where the child is at. I work together with families to create an inspiring
learning environment in order to develop the intellect and nurture
the spirit, while building confidence.
Karma Sohn, B.Mus. (piano, composition)
With more than two decades of teaching experience, Karma holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in piano performance and composition,
and is experienced with early childhood music education as well as vocal technique and choir. Her creative passion and curiosity for how people learn motivates her to help others achieve amazing results! Karma has worked with many students who have gone on to pursue post-secondary education, and successful careers as performing artists and educators.
She has written and recorded her own album, and also collaborated with several performing groups in Vancouver and across Canada.​​​​
